Fill out ALL THE SURVEYS! (for real though, I want to send you your stuff)

As mentioned in the last update, we sent out all BackerKit surveys last Friday. So far, 13,782 of you are super on top of it and have selected your add-ons and filled out your shipping information. If you’ve already done that, then you can skip straight to the end of this update. Yay!
If you haven’t yet, please do it right now!!! You only have until October 12th before we lock in orders, so now is the time to act! While you’ll still be able to provide us with your shipping information past that date, you won’t have access to any of the add-ons and you'll risk your shipment being delayed. And then you'll be sad!
For those of you who may not have used BackerKit before, I understand that the survey and process can be a little confusing and overwhelming. With that in mind, I wanted to address several questions that I’ve seen so that everyone can be on the same page.
Q. I didn’t get my survey! What do I do?

A: If you didn’t get your survey invite e-mail, don’t despair! There are a couple of things that you can do to recover the link. The first option is to go to this link and put in your Kickstarter e-mail address, which should resend the e-mail to you. If for some reason that doesn’t work, just drop us a line over at [email protected] and ask for the direct link to your survey. One way or another, we’ll make sure you can get in!
Q. Kickstarter wasn’t able to charge my card, so the money for my pledge never came out. Am I still able to use BackerKit?

A: Good news! Even if your card errors through Kickstarter, you are still considered to be a backer, so you can still use your survey link! The only difference is that the cost of your pledge that wasn’t collected in Kickstarter will show up as a pending charge in BackerKit. If you complete your survey, BackerKit will make their own attempt to collect the remaining balance not collected through Kickstarter when cards are charged at the end of this survey period.
Q. When will the money I’m spending in BackerKit come out of my account?

A: The survey will close on October 12th and cards will be charged the next day. Because October 13th is a Saturday, you may not see the funds debited until Monday, October 15th.
Q. Can I change my tier in BackerKit?

A: Yes! However, keep in mind that most March delivery tiers are closed. This means that if you change your tier at this point, your delivery date will likely be pushed back to April. You can change your tier by clicking the ‘Switch Pledge Levels’ link on the first page of your survey, or by clicking on your displayed pledge level at the top of any page afterwards.
Q. I’m a previous backer, but I don’t see the Proudest Unicorn pin on my pledge! What gives?

A: The Proudest Unicorn pin will be added to pledges later in the fulfillment process, so it will not show up on your BackerKit survey. Once all surveys have been completed, we’ll be doing a whole fancy cross-referencing process to add them to the orders of those who backed both campaigns. If you used a different e-mail address last time around, though, PM us and let us know so we can be sure to find you!
Q. Why does the shipping increase when I try to add additional tier rewards? Shouldn't they have the flat add-on shipping rate?

A: If you purchase a second tier reward through the BackerKit survey, it will add on shipping for that tier just as if you backed it on Kickstarter. This is a measure put in place to prevent anyone from pledging for $1 and then adding on the tier without having to pay any sort of shipping associated it, while still offering the bundle discount that some of the tiers provide. In some cases, it will make sense to add an extra tier due to that discount. In other cases, however, you are better off adding on each of the individual parts of the tier and paying only for the flat rate add-on shipping. If you are thinking about purchasing a second tier, I highly encourage you to experiment with these two methods to see which makes the most sense based on where you live and what you’re wanting to purchase!
I know that this certainly doesn’t answer every question or individual situation that might arise, so if you didn’t find your answer here, please don’t hesitate to reach out to [email protected] for individualized help. Be aware that posting a comment often ends in the comment getting lost, so submitting a ticket to our support line is the only way to absolutely make sure that your issue is addressed!
Now, if you've already filled out your survey, here's some good news!
Disaster Relief Unicorn has already been purchased 6,065 times!!! That’s over $30,000 for the United Way in just three days of the surveys being out. I'm blown away by your generosity and so excited to see how much we're going to be able to donate to their mission and recovery efforts.

Q. I realized there was another add-on I wanted, but I already finished my survey. Can I continue to edit it after I've submitted my information?

A: Yes! If you follow your link to your survey, there are options to edit your add-ons up until the October 12th lock down date. SO GO BUY MORE NOW! :D

Hello!
It feels like forever since I last updated, but we've been working away to make sure everything gets done and coordinated so nothing falls through the cracks!
First off, BackerKit surveys will be going out TOMORROW (Friday, September 28th)! For those of you who have been budgeting for add-on items, this survey will give you access to finally determine which of those will be added to your pledge.
The add-ons will only be available for two weeks from that date, which means they will be locked down on Friday, October 12th. While you’ll be able to fill out your shipping information past that date, the add-ons will no longer be available. So make sure you look out for that email and fill out your survey as soon as possible!
And now, moving on to NEW KS EXCLUSIVES!!!
DISASTER RELIEF UNICORN
The first new card, Disaster Relief Unicorn, will be available as an add-on for $5. What? $5 for a card, you say? Well, yes, but 100% of the proceeds will be donated to United Way Worldwide. It is a fantastic organization that fights for communities around the world and aids in disaster relief efforts. During our original Kickstarter campaign, Hurricane Maria hit, and I wanted to do something to mobilize our community and help victims (especially since some of our own backers were affected), and I regretted not doing it.
This time around, I didn't want to make the same mistake, and I was further moved to take action when Hurricane Florence hit (especially since my mom lives in Wilmington, NC and was one of the thousands of people who had to evacuate for over a week. She is safe, and her house is still standing, but not everyone was so lucky). I wanted to make sure we the proceeds went to an organization that has a global mission, though, since we have backers around the world, so I hope you will put in $5 to get this KS EXCLUSIVE CARD (that is only available for 2 weeks!!) and know that every penny of that $5 will be donated to a good cause.

GUARD LLAMA
During our extensive research about llamas for Llamas Unleashed, we were delighted to learn about guard llamas - llamas that spend their days employed as protectors of sheep, goats, and other livestock. We thought that the idea of a fluffy, adorable llama being a heroic protector of other animals was such a hilarious and amazing idea and wanted them to be represented in the game.
We decided that the Guard Llama would be the perfect EXCLUSIVE CARD to give to anyone who preorders Llamas Unleashed through Backerkit. It is both super adorable and super valiant. Just like our Unstable Unicorns community!
For any who may have missed it, Llamas Unleashed will be available through the BackerKit survey as a pre-order item that will ship with your pledge in Spring 2019. While the game will be available in Target stores and on the TeeTurtle website starting in January, purchasing the game through BackerKit now will get the Guard Llama exclusive card automatically added.
This will be the only time Guard Llama is available (AKA it will never be online or in stores again, nor will it be in a future expansion), so if you want it, I encourage you to purchase the game now rather than later!
Lastly, we designed a KS EXCLUSIVE shirt design that you can get in BackerKit! This, like the cards above, will only be available for the next 2 weeks once surveys go out, so don't forget to fill yours out!

I put an * in the title because we still have to complete the tier reward Unicorn cards, but everything else is FINISHED!!! I know I had promised these on Monday, but I decided it was better to make all of them look as good as possible rather than try to rush to finish. Thanks for your patience, and here is the final set of cards in the game!!!

We are going through them one (or two or a hundred) more time(s) to make sure every detail is right with the card wording and placement, and we will also still be adding the text to the Basic Unicorn cards. The whole team has worked so hard to bring this together, and I couldn't be happier with the outcome.

First of all, I wanted to give an update on social stretch goals. I know a lot of people are vying for the exclusive charm pins. The campaign has been flying today with nearly 1500 new backers. At 17,662 and counting, there's still a good shot of hitting 20,000 backers if we see a last-minute spike like we did last time!!
Here's how you can help us get there:
Click this link to share the campaign with your friends on FB, and make sure to let your friends know we are in the FINAL HOURS of the campaign.
We are also at 23,761 shares, so if a third of our backers share, we will hit the 30,000 share goal as well.
Here are some backup options, in case we need them:
Unicorn photos in the theme of your favorite card (approximately 2/3 finished)
Videos of fans moving in slow motion in public settings (approximately 1/3 finished)

Remember when I said we were going to kick it into high gear with the artwork this week? Well, we did. With 38 hours left in the campaign, we have every single card now in progress. The team is working furiously to finish the cards as fast as they can so that we can show the complete deck very soon. I don't think we'll finish every card in the next 38 hours, but we will come pretty darn close, and the rest will be finished shortly afterwards. I will, of course, post an update when all the cards are completed for your viewing pleasure :D

Lastly, I wanted to provide some extra photos of the collector's box to show how it works. It's a bit difficult to tell from the pictures, but there are dividers that can be inserted wherever you want them to separate your games and expansions. The prototype dividers are just black, but the actual ones will be in different colors (because Unicorns and Rainbows). The dividers snap in and out wherever you want to put them :)

Underneath the tray that holds the cards, there's space for play mats. There's a ribbon attached to the bottom of the box to help easily pull the play mats out like so:

The collector's box is really a beast in the best possible way. I hope you will enjoy filling it up with all the things :D As it stands now, the box can fit every Unstable Unicorns game and expansion (including Llamas Unleashed!) and still have space for more than 1000 additional cards.
If you guys keep being this good to me, we will continue coming up with new games and expansions to fill up the rest of that space ;)
And now to hold my breath for these last 38 hours....
