It's time to name some ULTIMATE Unicorns! (A poll)

Hello everyone :D

We've been carefully going through all the suggestions we've received, and for all of the other cards in the deck, we've been picking our favorites.  For the ULTIMATE UNICORNS, though, I thought it would be best to pick a few of our favorites for each of the cards and take a poll!

I think they are all f***ing badass, so I'm pretty pumped regardless of where things end up.

The poll will continue until Monday, and on Tuesday, I will be hosting a very special ULTIMATE UNICORN live drawing.

(Yes, I'm finally being not lazy and doing some drawing myself)

A few notes about this poll:

• Some of the suggestions came directly from one backer, while others were our combination of a few ideas that we saw and really liked
• We will give shoutouts to the greatest extent that we can once we've decided on the Ultimate Unicorns.  Please note that, at times, multiple people have made the same suggestion, so we've tried to credit the first person who said it.
• Since this is a community-driven project, I want to make sure we are representing as many people as possible. If your favorite choices don't end up getting picked, I hope you'll still love the outcome and recognize the work that your fellow backers and our team have put in to make this project a reality!
• We are relying on the honor system here- please vote just once. Like I said above, every suggestion here is awesome, and I'd like them each to have as fair of a chance as possible.  Being a community means we need to be able to rely on each other to be honest!

There have been more good ideas than can fit in the game, but rather than being sad about the ones I won't be able to get in, I'm just so excited about how incredible this project is becoming.

Here's where things stand in our card tracker so far with some of our recent updates!

We will be filling in the rest of the tracker with more card names very soon, and starting next week, we will be kicking this project into the highest of gears to get through these cards as fast as possible now that we have so many ideas locked in :D

And don't forget we will be having another live drawing TOMORROW, hosted by Charlie (who was responsible for the Baby Slothicorn, Baby Belugacorn, and Redpandacorn on the last livestream!)

LLAMAS UNLEASHED: The best thing since Unicorns

Have you ever known a secret that you were dying to tell?  That's how I've felt knowing that we were working on Llamas Unleashed, and it's finally time for the reveal thanks to hitting over 15 SOCIAL STRETCH GOALS today!  YAY!!!!

This isn't a joke.  This is an actual thing we've been working on in secret for months alongside this project. Because Llamas.

...

Llamas Unleashed is a fully playable base game that is NOT intended to be shuffled into your Unstable Unicorns games.  It comes with 135 cards in a magnetic box, and it has the same base mechanics, but with a few twists.

In the game, you'll find 4 types of characters: Llamas, Alpacas, Goats, and Rams.

(Sampling of cards from top left: Wingsuit Llama, Prehistoric Llamadon, Henry the Huarizo, Static-Charged Alpaca, Magical Alpacacorn, Alpacalypse, The Fearsome Alligoater, Speedy Goatercycle, The Negoatiator, Unstoppable Ram, Paralleloram, and Illamanati)

Playing certain cards only affect certain types, such as if you play a "Goatmeal Raisin Cookie" or a "Download More RAM."

In addition, there is a new mechanic called "Herd Bonus."  If you get 3 of the same type of character in your Stable (now called a Field) at the same time, you get a Field Advantage!  Think of it like an Upgrade card, except with no Upgrade in your Stable.  Bonus effects range from extra card draw to protection to stealing from your friends.  Be sure to strategize early though- if you don’t remember the Herd Bonus when choosing your Baby Animal, you might end up having a baaaad time!

Plus, each of the instant cards in the deck (equivalent to the Neighs you know) have an added bonus of allowing you to snatch up the card if it belongs to a specific type (ex. if you use the right "Neigh" on a Goat-type card, you can add it to your hand instead of sending it to the discard pile!)

The core mechanics are based on those of Unstable Unicorns, but there are a ton of new card effects that you've never seen before.  Also, Llamas. How can you resist?

NOTE: Llamas Unleashed will be available in Target stores in January.  You can also pre-order it as an add-on in BackerKit, and it will be shipped with your pledge (for $20).  We might even throw in an extra card or something. Who knows?

THE LLAMAS HAVE BEEN UNLEASHED (or, well, they will be. Soon. For now, you can preorder them.)

If you aren't sure how you can order things through BackerKit, you have two options- one is that you can wait until you get your pledge survey and add it at that point. Otherwise, you can just add the dollar amount to your pledge, then allocate those funds to the items you want later :D

UNICORNS FOREVER!

THIS IS CHAOS!! (an extensive update about dragons, social goals, cupcakes, expansions, and impostercorns)

Note: This is a very long update, so I decided to provide a table of contents for your convenience:

I know a lot of you have been waiting a long time to find out what we plan to do with the Dragons expansion pack for people who backed the original campaign. It has been a very tricky issue to consider, and after many conversations with the folks over at BackerKit (as well as within our team internally), we have decided to just discount the expansion by 50% for anyone who is backing this campaign.

What will you do with your extra 27 duplicate Dragon cards now? Well, you can gift them to a friend, shuffle some extra Dragons into the deck, or grind them into a a fine powder and mix them into your morning tea to get some extra fiber in your diet {NOTE: claims of cards containing fiber have not been substantiated}

I also wanted to update you on our SOCIAL STRETCH GOALS. Thanks to a long list of very dedicated backers, we’ve already completed 8 social stretch goals in just a few days :D :D :D I’ll have the unlocked wallpaper pack ready in an update later this week!

We also are well on our way to hitting a number of additional goals. Some notable ones:

• 9/100 tweets of kind messages to my mother (and she is a VERY patient woman to have raised me)

For those of you who are interested in Unstable Unicorns expansions, I thought it would be helpful to provide a card inventory with artwork for each of them so you can see what's inside :) This will (hopefully) clarify any confusion about the content of the Rainbow Apocalypse and Dragons expansions.  Please note that the Unicorns of Legend expansion will be available for purchase in GameStop and online before rewards ship out, but if you would like it included in your tier, you can include it as an add-on.  If you haven't seen it yet, I think Unicorns of Legend is some of the best artwork that has ever been done for Unstable Unicorns!!

In other news, we recently had an IMPOSTER show up in our backercorns...it wasn't even a Unicorn at all! The problem has since been resolved. Alexander Tolstrup, you have my sincerest apologies for any pain and suffering this may have caused.

60 (!!!) Backercorns! (We've been keeping busy)
